Jesse Were delighted after Harambee Stars return, expect tough Uganda clash

After being snubbed by Sebastien Migne in the African Cup of Nations squad, Jesse Were expressed his delight at returning to the Harambee Stars squad.

Migne raised eyebrows when he failed to include Were in the AFCON squad and the final qualifiers clash against Ghana. The Zesco United forward has been in form for his club, winning back to back league titles but has failed to find the back of the net in National Team colors.

Speaking to the media in an open training session, Were noted that he was not bothered by the snub and expects a tough game against Uganda, "I feel good having returned to the team, Migne did not include me in his squad because I know  he had other players in his squad who he was using, I did not feel bad because I took it as a challenge."

"The match against Uganda will not be easy because it's a derby and they have also prepared well but we will do our best to get a deserved him."
