Following their shock 1-2 loss against Crystal Palace, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that his team failed to win due to not taking their chances.
United went behind to Jordan Ayew's goal in the first half but failed to convert numerous chances in the opening half. Solskjaer's men were handed a penalty late on in the second half which Marcus Rashford missed as Daniel James pulled them level in the 89th minute. Patrick van Aanholt stole all three points for Palace in the 93rd minute.
Speaking after the game, Solskajer revealed what went wrong in the game, "They scored 2 and we scored only one. We just were not clinical enough in front of goal and they scored two very easy goals. I thought we got our act together second half, we just couldn’t hit the target. We have dominated the game but we have not controlled it."
