Zambian striker Obbrey Chola Chirwa scored a header to lead defending Champions AZAM to a 2-1 win eliminating DR Congo giants TP Mazembe from the ongoing CECAFA Kagame Cup tournament in Rwanda.
Azam came from a goal down to beat Mazembe. Ipamy Giovanni headed home from close range in the 21st minute to put Mazembe in the lead.
The lead only lasted just seven minutes as Iddi Selman cracker of shot pulled Azam level. Chirwa scored a header in the 69th minute to put Azam in the lead for the first time in the match.
Azam will face Kampala City Council (KCCA) who eliminated Rayon Sports in the semifinals. Zambian trio of Rainford Kalaba, Nathan Sinkala, and Tandi Mwape all started the match for Mazembe.
