Spanish giants Barcelona have confirmed goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has left the club.
Cillessen has joined fellow La Liga side Valencia on a four-year deal for a fee of around £31m. His contract runs until June 2023, with a release clause of £71.7m (€80m). The 30-year-old joined the Catalans in the summer of 2017 from Ajax, coinciding with Luis Enrique’s final season as manager, and spent the following two seasons under the orders of Ernesto Valverde.
The Dutch international only made five La Liga appearances in his three seasons at the Camp Nou with the majority of his games coming in the Copa Del Rey.
