England Under-21 coach Aidy Boothroyd believes Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been affected by Manchester United's interest in him during the European Under-21 Championship.
Wan-Bissaka scored a comical own goal in the final minute of injury time to hand France a win on Tuesday night, leaving England facing an uphill task to qualify for the semi-finals. According to various sources, Manchester United have agreed a fee with Crystal Palace for the full back with the deal potentially reaching north of £60m with future add-ons considered.
Boothroyd revealed that the transfer links to United have affected Wan-Bissaka, "When that speculation is flying around it's bound to turn your head. For a young player, who all he knows is Crystal Palace, it would be daft not to say that in some way he must think about it.”
