Sources close to Justice Chabalala suggest that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in the central defender.
With Chabalala having had a poor season with Pirates and his contract ending this month, Chiefs are set to pounce on the 27-year-old.
A source confirms that both Amakhosi and Mamelodi Sundowns have made enquiries.
"In fact both Sundowns and Chiefs are talking to the player's agent. They are monitoring Justice,” the source told KickOff.com.
"Remember [Ernst] Middendorp is the one who promoted Chabalala at Free State Stars. And Sundowns they were about to sign him when Pirates snatched him. The player's camp is waiting until month end to see if Bucs exercise the option.
An exit out of Pirates seems a sure-case after the Giyani-born failed to make a single appearance last term.
“The thing is there's no communication between Pirates and the player's camp, while on the other side Chiefs personally called his agent. Everything will be clearer by the end of June because that's where Pirates must decide,” concluded the source.
