Gor Mahia coach Hassan Oktay has taken a jibe at the quality of arch rivals AFC Leopards this after beating them on Sunday 19 May at the MISC Kasarani.
Oktay questioned the quality of their opponents saying they didn’t give his side the derby feeling on the field of play as he only saw that from the fans this coming after he felt that they dominated play and should have scored more in the latter stages of the game.
“I expected this result because we totally dominated the game. We should have scored two or three goals with ten minutes to go. I am proud of my boys and to me, it didn’t look like a derby maybe (the derby was) the crowd but on the playing side, we had all control. It was fantastic,” Oktay said in his post-match conference.
The win inched Gor closer to the league title as they only need one win to confirm their title. They are currently topping the league with 69 points, eight points above second-placed Bandari FC with a tie against Vihiga United up next.
