Newly appointed Ashanti Gold coach Kjetil Zachariassen has shared his early assessment of the team time, while also revealing what he is planning to create.
The Norwegian is only in his second week in charge and comes off a 2-1 win over Berekum Chelsea last weekend.
Asked about his thoughts of the quality of his side, Zachariassen based his review purely on the short time spent with AshGold.
"I prefer talking about the two weeks we have had since I became the head coach. We have been really digging hard,” he said to Ghana Soccer Net.
Zachariassen further revealed that he plans to create a hard-running team that plays football of high fitness and energy.
“We are running more than ever and that has been my job. To raise the intensity of our game. That means more running for higher intensity when we run. The players have been under two weeks of hard training and they have responded well.
“We are not yet there when it comes to the relationship with the players. But we are getting somewhere,” he concluded.
The Miners next take on the high-flying Medeama SC this Wednesday.
