Former Manchester United captain set for managerial job
Paul Scholes is on the verge of being appointed Oldham manager after the English Football League decided it would not conflict with his role as a Salford owner.
According to Sky Sports, an EFL meeting was held earlier this week to discuss whether that was a potential conflict of interest.
Although Salford City play in the National League, their push for promotion could see them play in League Two alongside Oldham.
Scholes’ appointment will come with some regulations though as he will not be allowed to sign players from, or sell to Salford City.
