🀯 Four players you may have forgotten about who are still on the books of Premier League clubs

Ever wondered how Yannick Bolasie is getting on in Portugal? If you have, same here.

We've had a quick look around to check up on some talented players on the payroll of Premier League clubs who are plying their trade in other leagues, for now that is.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Jermain Defoe

With 162 goals in the competition, Bournemouth man Jermain Defoe is 8th on the all-time Premier League goal-scorers charts. He's 37 now and out on loan at Scottish giants Rangers, but still contracted to The Cherries. If Rangers boss Steven Gerrard gets his way, a permanent move to Ibrox for Defoe might be on the cards.

🇨🇩 Yannick Bolasie

Once upon a time, DR Congo wing wizard Yannick Bolasie was more highly thought of at Crystal Palace than Wilf Zaha. There's never been any doubt about his talent, but it's his lack of end of product despite the clear flamboyant skills that frustrated fans the most.

Aware of the unpredictability in his game, Everton parted with a large sum of money to sign Bolasie in 2016, but injuries and inconsistency plagued his time at Goodison Park and he's had loan stints at Aston Villa, Anderlecht and now Sporting Lisbon. In 13 appearances this season in the Portuguese top flight, the 30-year-old has a goal & two assists.

🇫🇷 Tiémoué Bakayoko

Part of a famous Monaco side that reached the Champions League semifinals in 2017, central midfield powerhouse Bakayoko earned a big money move to Stamford Bridge but a string of iffy performances saw him shipped out to AC Milan on loan. Things didn't go too well there either and the 25-year-old is back at Monaco for a second loan period away from Chelsea. There's still time for him to resurrect his Blues career but he's got a mountain to climb to do so.

🇩🇪 Loris Karius

Cruelly, the 26-year-old is most vividly remembered for his two goalkeeping howlers in the 2018 Champions League final. Karius moved to Besiktas on a two-year loan deal, but it's been an up and down time for him in Turkey with a permanent move to a new home looking the most likely option.

Karius' parent club will continue their seemingly inevitable march to the Premier League title this Wednesday with a trip to West Ham.
