Uganda striker Juma Balinya has finally been cleared to feature for Gor Mahia more than two weeks after inking a deal.
Balinya joined Gor Mahia earlier in the month on a two-year deal but his International Transfer Certification (ITC) had not been sorted.
Gor Mahia through its twitter feed, however, confirmed on Thursday that Balinya had received the needed paperwork and will be eligible to make his debut against Bandari FC this weekend.
Balinya will be hoping that he hits the ground running and replicate his performance last year with Ugandan Premier League Side Police FC where he netted 17 goals to walk away with the league’s top scorer golden boot gong.
The player had been roped to fit the boots left by Ivorian striker Gislein Yikpe who left the club for Yanga SC (Balinya’s former club) in December 2019.
The game against Bandari will be hosted at the Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium on Saturday 25 January from 3 pm EAT.
