Kenya international Ismael Athuman Gonzalez has rejoined Las Palmas Atlético after leaving the club six months ago.
Las Palmas Atlético is the reserve team of UD Las Palmas, and is based in Las Palmas, currently playing in Segunda División B – Group 1.
The midfielder has risen the ranks at Las Palmas starting out with the C team in 2014 and was promoted to B team the following year.
A loan deal to Cacereño, a transfer to Granada B and a move to Fuenlabrada ensued before moving back to Las Palmas B in 2018.
Las Palmas confirmed the move in a statement on their official website, "Ismael Said Athuman González (Maspalomas, February 2, 1995), returns to the entity after six months and becomes the new reinforcement of Las Palmas Atlético.
"Born in the quarry of the CD Maspalomas and UD Vecindario, he stood out in the yellow quarry in his youth stage."
Gonzalez played a key role in Harambee Stars' qualification of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, filling in the Defensive Midfield role when Victor Wanyama was out injured.
