Aaron Ramsey issues an apology to Cristiano Ronaldo after 'stealing' his goal

Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has issued an apology to Cristiano Ronaldo after he scored his goal-bound free-kick in Juventus' 1-2 win over Lokomotiv Moscow.

Ronaldo struck a free-kick from the right-hand flank which was millimeters from going in after goalkeeper Guilherme spilled the ball but Ramsey fired it in before it had completely crossed the line.

The goal was registered under the Welshman's name as he ended his Champions League goal drought with his first strike since a goal for Arsenal against Monaco in March 2015.

Speaking after the match Ramsey apologized to Ronaldo, "I thought the keeper was a lot closer to me and had a chance of diving back and maybe clearing it. My instinct took over to make sure that it went over the line. I've apologized to Cristiano."

Douglas Costa went on to score the winner after Alexei Miranchuk scored the equalizer shortly after Ramsey's goal.
