ZSL week 10: Zesco open a seven point lead as Nkana and Warriors win away

Zesco United have opened a seven-point lead at the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super following a 2-0 win over Red Arrows while Nkana made it three wins in a row.

The MTN/FAZ Super League entered week ten with seven matches taking center stage across the country.

JESSE DOUBLE TAKES ZESCO TO NINE STRAIGHT WINS

Zesco United made a trip to Lusaka to face second-placed Red Arrows in a top-two affair. Jesse Jackson Were was again the hero of the day as he scored twice in the first half to take his tally to ten goals in the season.

The win takes Zesco United to 27 points, Seven points above the Airmen in second place. Zesco has now won nine straight games this season and is yet to drop any points.

NKANA WIN AWAY

Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba scored the only goal of the game away in Mazabuka to guide Nkana to a one-nil win over Nakambala Leopards. The win is Nkana's third in a row and has reduced the gap between them and Napsa Stars to just a point.

At Edwin Imboela, Jack Chirwa scored a brace to guide Zambia Army-sponsored out-fit, Green Buffaloes to a 2-1 win over Team Kopala, Buildcon. In Kitwe Jimmy Ndhlovu scored the only goal of the game as Kabwe Warriors returned back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Power dynamos.

Forest Rangers and Napsa Stars played out to a goalless draw in an early kick-off at Nkoloma.

NKWAZI GO SEVEN GAMES WITHOUT A WIN

Nkwazi started life after Chris Kaunda with an away fixture in Solwezi as they faced off with Kansanshi Dynamos. Neither side could find the back of the net after 90 minutes and settled for a point each.
