This evening is a night out of the boyhood dreams of Peter Olayinka (23) and Paul Onuachu (25). The duo will look to score against world powerhouses FC Barcelona & Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
Leaving Nigeria as a youngster for the cold, ruthless and unpredictable climates of Europe, one dreams of playing in the UEFA Champions League against the best teams on the planet and against the best players on the globe.
For the Ibadan-born Olayinka and Onuacho from Owerri, tonight, Wednesday 23 October is that night.
🔥 Olayinka vs FC Barcelona
The 23-year-old Slavia Prag striker has come a long way to this day. He left Nigeria’s 36 Lion FC in 2012 to start his climb up the European game in Albania, Cyprus, Belgium before landing in the Czech Republic. Little did he know that this season he would meet Barcelona in the Champions League.

Olayinka is not just a squad player. The striker is a key man that has surely been mentioned in Barca’s team meetings this week. The Nigerian has already six goals and two assists in 15 games.
This evening a chance to test his level against the likes of Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti.
🔥Onuachu vs Liverpool
The Super Eagles striker has only been in Europe since 2012 when he left FC Ebedei. Six years in Denmark helped the Owerri-born man a move to Belgian giants KRC Genk.
Though Paul has five goals in eight games for Genk this term, he is yet to find the net in the champions league and what better occasion than to make his personal history against defending champions Liverpool tonight?
