Utility man James Milner wants his Liverpool future solved soon with the player remaining with just eight months left on his current deal.
Milner will be free to sign a pre-contract with any club in January 2020 when he turns 34 and he is worried Liverpool might be wanting him out with the team handing contracts to some first-team players.
Manager Klopp in a recent interview said he would like to see Milner stay at Anfield but nothing concrete has happened since then.
Klopp sees the midfielder as a leader in the team and one that can lead his young troop but according to the midfielder, there have been talks he hopes to be concluded soon.
“Who knows, you know?” said the midfielder ahead of their Champions League tie with RC Genk. “There have been talks so hopefully it gets resolved sooner rather than later. But at this moment I will just keep playing football as well as I can.”
Milner has been used in different positions by Klopp and his importance can be seen with the player having started the last 10 away matches for the club in the Champions League.
