Zanaco injury update: Kola, Rusike return as Kapumbu is ruled out of Forest clash

Sensational Zanaco has been boosted by the return to training of four key players ahead of their week six MTN/FAZ Super League tie against Forest Rangers on Sunday.

Chitiya Mususu, Moussa Souleymanou, Tafadzwa Rusike, and Rodgers Kola all returned to training ahead of Sunday’s match, Zanaco confirmed on their official website.

Kola sustained a slight ankle injury during the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup match against Bolton City at Heroes, while Chitiya has been out of action since 15 September 2019 after picking up an injury in the first leg at Anjalay, Mauritius.

The Bankers have however been hit with a big blow after midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu was ruled out of the match due to a thigh injury. Kapumbu will be rested as a precaution measure as advised by Zanaco FC medical team

Former Kabwe Warriors winger Mwansa Nsofwa is a big doubt for the match having limped off in a friendly against Young Zanaco on Thursday.

"Mwansa Nsofwa limped off the pitch with an injury suffered during a practice match against Young Zanaco on Thursday afternoon at Sunset.

Situmbeko returns, but still, on light training, he got injured during warm-up in the 3rd/4th play-offs of the 2019 Transitional Season match against Buildcon."

Zanaco and Forest Rangers will square off at 15:00hrs on Sunday at Sunset Stadium.
