Nigerian teenage striker Tyrese Omotoye has reportedly signed his first professional contract with English Premier League side Norwich City according to All Nigeria Soccer.
The club's official website announced the news that the Omotoye will continue his development with the U18 team as he looks to break into first team mould.
During the 2017/18 season, the rising star made approximately 19 appearances for the U18s, managing to score two goals and involving himself in two assist.
"I feel like I've earned it. Everyday you've got to work hard for your place in the squad, so I'm very happy knowing that my hard work has paid off and is being shown", the delighted youngster said of the contract.
"Making it into the U18s line-ups is just the start, I want to progress through to the U23s, and then make it into the first-team. That's my main goal, above all else.
"Right now, I'm really focusing on improving every day so I can be the best player possible. I'm motivated by the thought of getting into that first-team squad."
Omotoye is said to be eligible to represent three countries; Belgium, England and Nigeria the youngster pledge his international allegiance to Nigeria.
