Former Arsenal keeper Fabianski out for up to three months

West Ham United have been handed a major injury blow with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski set to be on the sidelines for up to three months with an injury.

West Ham United head coach confirmed that Fabianski could be out for up to three months after the former Arsenal man tore a hip muscle during the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.

"The staff will decide probably today or tomorrow whether he will have surgery on his muscle or he will recover without surgery," said Pellegrini.

"But I think in both cases less than three months will be difficult for Lukasz to return."

Replacement?

"For the moment we have Roberto as a goalkeeper and I trust a lot in him... I am confident he will have a good performance," said Pellegrini when asked whether the club will consider bringing in a free agent to provide cover during Fabianski's absence.

"Also David Martin is a goalkeeper with experience in the league. So, for the moment, we are going to keep things the same way."

The Hammers will be up against Crystal Palace on Saturday in a Premier League encounter.
