'Last year we were lucky to beat them' - Ole Gunnar wary of West Ham threat

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is wary of the threat West Ham poses when they lock horns in an English Premier League match on Sunday.

The Norwegian further hailed their opponents' strength ahead of the tie, backing them for a top-six finish this season.

The two sides are level on eight points after five rounds of matches, making the clash at London Stadium more intriguing.

"By the quality and by the game, we played against them last season and the games I've seen them this year, why not? Last year we were lucky to beat them and it'll be a good test again for us," he said as quoted by Sky Sports.

The former United player further highlighted the importance of building confidence within the team, saying their two clean sheets in their last two matches will give them the much-needed confidence.

"We've had two clean sheets now, that gives the defenders confidence and if we can keep a clean sheet then it will be easier for the strikers because you know that you don't have to score twos, threes and fours every time,"

The Old Trafford side has had unconvincing matches in the Premier League, and Solksjaer admitted they did not deserve to win against Leicester last weekend.

They will face a West Ham side that has immensely improved since their 5-0 annihilation against Manchester City on opening day.
