Juventus head coach Maurizio Sarri has returned to the training field as he continues to recover from pneumonia.
The former Chelsea boss was diagnosed with pneumonia last month which saw him miss Juve’s opening two Serie matches against Parma and Napoli. There were indications that Sarri could make an early return to the sidelines for the game against Napoli.
“We have the final training session in the afternoon and then we will see if he is able to make it tomorrow,” Juve assistant Giovanni Martusciello said the day before the match.
Sarri replaced Massimiliano Allegri last season who left his role as the head coach despite leading the Bianconeri to their eighth consecutive Serie A title. The 60-year-old returned to Italy this summer following one season at the helm of Chelsea where he helped the club win the Europa League.
