Eddie Nketiah made his maiden debut for new club Leeds United in the side's Carabao Cup win over Salford City - the Ghanaian even finding the net on his first game.
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa spoke to Sky Sports (via Football.London) about the type of team he wants to produce this season and suggested that Nketiah will be the player with the difference in the squad.
Bielsa will be aiming to fight for promotion which they narrowly missed last season and the former hinted that the Ghanaian player has special qualities that will help Leeds.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “The most important thing with Nketiah is that he is a special player and he doesn’t need a lot of instructions to follow his style of game.
“He’s a striker and the team will accommodate him, rather than him accommodating to the team.”
New Yorkshire boy Nketiah also had his say to the media after he made found himself scoring on his debut and what he hopes to achieve during his loan spell from Arsenal.
"It’s been a busy few days and I’m delighted everything is all sorted so I’m able to play football now.I’m looking forward to pulling on the shirt and giving my all," he said.
“I’ve had a few days training, a few days testing.
"I’m trying to get to know the boys a bit better, it’s going to take a while to form the relationships but I’m just excited to get out there playing today."
