Arsenal kicked off their United States tour with a 3-0 win over MLS side Colorado Rapids in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Gunners named a young lineup for their first pre-season match of the summer, handing a debut to young Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli. He got on the score sheet.

Calum Chambers also made the start in Denver after spending last season on loan at Fulham. Impressive winger Teenagers Bukayo Saka & James Olayinka opened their accounts within the first half-hour, giving the Gunners a two-goal lead. Summer signing Martinelli got his goal just after the hour-mark, shouldering home a cross from Dominic Thompson, to seal a comfortable win against the MLS side.

Unai Emery's attention now shifts to the International Champions Cup.

The Gunners will face Bayern Munich this Wednesday before taking on Fiorentina and Real Madrid on Saturday and next Tuesday, respectively.
