Jurgen Klopp fires a warning to Manchester City ahead of next season
Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Liverpool will not take their foot off the pedal after winning the UEFA Champions League last season.
Liverpool had an outstanding campaign, winning the Champions League for a sixth time after beating local rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final. The Reds also had an impressive Premier League season finishing runners up, losing the title to Manchester City by a single point. Klopp will be hoping that Liverpool can win their first league title in 30 years.
The German tactician revealed that they will be ready to go for another season, "The most important thing for Liverpool fans, when reliving the memories of this season, is to remember it’s the start - not a conclusion. Madrid wasn’t the final chapter for us - I think we’re still writing the introduction.
"When we were traveling around Liverpool with the European Cup on that magical Sunday, the words that I heard sung the loudest were: ‘We’re never gonna stop!’ That’s what this team and club has to live by. We arrived at this point because we were hungry for moments like June 1."
