Beckenbauer: I want Klopp at Bayern Munich

Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer says he would like to see Liverpool manager appointed as Bayern Munich head coach in the future.

Klopp led Liverpool to the sixth Champions League trophy on Saturday night after a 2-0 win over Tottenham in the finals. The Reds boss still has three years remaining in his current contract at Anfield but the club owners are ready to break the bank to secure his future. Beckenbauer hopes the Germany machines will be able to one day lure him back to the Bundesliga as he thinks he could have things easier in Munich.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, the Bayern Munich legend who won five titles as a player said, "I want nothing more than to see Klopp come to Bayern one day, it would be a good fit.”

"Jurgen brought a new type of football to Germany... what he began in Dortmund, he has refined in Liverpool."

Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool’s owners to tie Klopp down to a new long-term contract at Anfield.
