Tottenham vs Ajax Amsterdam
UEFA Champions League semifinal
30 April

A Champions League semifinal that not many experts would have predicted. Spurs and Ajax are two of the youngest sides in Europe. Christian Eriksen will be Tottenham's key man and he'll want to make a point against his old side. The Dane swapped Amsterdam for London in 2013 and he's become the key creative force behind Mauricio Pochettino's project with the North London side. Spurs look to have third place tied up in the Premier League, so all of their focus will be on the Champions League. It's an intriguing semifinal in store, with Ajax having already eliminated heavyweight sides Real Madrid and Juventus. Can they reach the final? A score draw in London will certainly hand them a strong advantage.

Barcelona vs Liverpool
UEFA Champions League semifinal
1 May

It doesn't get much more mouthwatering than a semifinal between Barcelona and Liverpool in the Champions League. Messi and Barca wrapped up the title on the weekend, while Liverpool remains in the picture in England, tussling with Manchester City week by week until one of the sides blinks. For now, Liverpool's fearsome attacking unit will look to exploit minor weaknesses in the Barcelona defence and we feel that they can claim important away goals at the Nou Camp in the first leg. Barcelona should have enough to win the first leg by the odd goal, but by that stage, it will only be halftime in the tie. There really is nothing to do on Wednesday night other than to watch this fascinating meeting between two very good football teams.

Arsenal vs Valencia
UEFA Europa League semifinal

2 May

Arsenal's season probably hinges on the Europa League after a couple of weeks where they've faltered in the Premier League. Losses against Crystal Palace and Leicester and they now seem to have only one route back into the Champions League, and that's by winning the Europa League. Valencia's season has been up and down in Spain and their campaign also boils down to this after missing out on the Champions League places. It's hard to know what to expect from Arsenal, but they might be able to find a first leg advantage here.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Chelsea
UEFA Europa League semifinal

2 May

Eintracht Frankfurt's impressive come-from-behind two-legged win over Benfica will put them in confident mood ahead of their semifinal first leg against Chelsea in Germany. In Luka Jovic, they have one of the hottest properties in European football and they've got the blend of youth and experience that that will help them on the big stage here. Chelsea's form has been excellent in the Europa League, spearheaded by tournament top scorer Olivier Giroud. We can see both sides scoring in this first leg.

Juventus vs Torino
Italian Serie A

3 May

Juventus has wrapped up their eighth consecutive Scudetto and they'd be forgiven if they took their foot off the gas in the remainder of the season. This derby clash means a lot to Torino too, and they'll be confident that they can cause an upset against their illustrious neighbours and keep their top four hopes alive. They'll get on the score sheet here.

Newcastle vs Liverpool
English Premier League

4 May

There have been numerous classics in the past between these two traditional and historical Premier League sides, but at this juncture, Liverpool would be happy to get a win by any means necessary to keep an intriguing title race alive. They need Manchester City to slip up somehow, but all they can do is get their side of the bargain done by winning here. It won't be pretty or high-scoring, but newly-crowned PFA Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk should steer them to a crucial win.

Chelsea vs Watford
English Premier League

5 May

Chelsea's Champions League fate is now in their own hands. Two wins from their remaining two fixtures will assure that Sarri's side finishes in the top four and doesn't have to rely on winning the Europa League to make it into Europe's elite club competition next season. Watford's focus is on other things, with an FA Cup final date on the horizon, so it remains to be seen what type of side Javi Gracia fields here. Unlike Chelsea's thriller against Burnley, we aren't expecting a classic here.

Arsenal vs Brighton
English Premier League

5 May

Arsenal's shocking April has seen them lose three Premier League matches in a row, most recently in shambolic fashion to Leicester City, where the Gunners played the majority of the match with ten men.  Brighton's mood will be positive after they earned a hard-fought and a potentially crucial point against Newcastle last time out.  Arsenal's lack of clean sheets in recent weeks leads us to believe they will concede here.
