Nyamityobora need to win remaining fixtures to survive relegation
With four games to conclude the Uganda Premier League, debutants Nyamityobora Football Club are in a must-win dilemma for each of the remaining matches if they are to survive the drop axe to the second tier.
The Abanyakare have managed just four wins, five draws and 17 losses in 26 matches.
Therefore, if they are to survive relegation, they have to win all their games remaining with the hope that the clubs above (Ndejje University, SC Villa and Maroons all falter).
On Easter eve, they face one of the clubs that they are in direct competition -Maroons at the Kakyeka Stadium.
Anything less of victory will see Alex Isabirye’s managed side relegated.
Playing in their debut season, Nyamityobora has been dogged by administrative, technical hitches and internal player revolts emanating from poor remuneration.
Since the first round kicked off, they have been managed by three different coaches – James Odoch, Asaph Mwebaze and lately Isabirye.
Against Maroons, Nyamityobora comes to the game with one mission to secure the three points, lest they will be relegated with three matches to go in case they lost.
Sadam Masereka, Ibrahim Juma Dada, Ibrahim Mpengere, Joseph Akandanaho, Peter Otim, goalkeepers Hilary Jomi and James Otim are some of the players expected to lift up Nyamityobora.
The visiting Maroons will bank on the experience of Brian Majwega, Rashid Agau, Isaac Otto, Abbey Samson Mutyaba for inspiration.
