Match preview ✅

Tottenham celebrated the official opening of their new £1bn stadium with a win against Crystal Palace to cement their place in the Premier League's top four and stop a worrying run of poor results. They had Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen to thank for the goals in that game, and that duo will be key tonight against Manchester City in a massive Champions League quarterfinal clash.

Visitors Man City are still chasing an unprecedented quadruple and they've started to approach cruise control in their matches, winning three in a row with clean sheets, all three of those matches featured under 2.5 goals too. However, we expect that trend to be interrupted here against a Tottenham side energised by their move to a new stadium.

Tottenham will feel that they have to win the first leg here to have any chance of progressing to their first ever Champions League semifinal, and that makes this match an enticing prospect.

Team news & men to watch 🌟

Tottenham will be without midfielder Eric Dier (hip), forward Erik Lamela (hamstring) and full-back Serge Aurier (hamstring).

Moussa Sissoko produced a top-class display from midfield for Mauricio Pochettino's men against Crystal Palace and is expected to keep his place in the starting XI. Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama's availability gives the home side options with Pochettino deciding between fielding a back three and a back four.

City forward Sergio Aguero, who has missed the last two games with a muscle injury, could feature after returning to training. Aguero has 29 goals this season, including five in the Champions League. Full-backs Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy should also be available.
