Former Gor Mahia ace Walusimbi set for reunion with Kerr

Former Gor Mahia defender Godfrey Walusimbi could be heading back to South Africa ahead of the new season.

Walusimbi was released by Kaizer Chiefs early this year after spending less than six months and has returned to Uganda. According to reports, Walusimbi could return to South Africa next season with Dylan Kerr's coached side Black Leopards interested in his services.

"He is back in the country [Uganda] and clubless at the moment," a source told KickOff.com.

"There was interest from Black Leopards before he returned home but the club promised to consider signing him for next season."

Despite being unattached, Uganda national team coach Sebastien Desabre has named the former Amakhosi defender in his provisional squad ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania this month.

Uganda has already qualified for the Nations Cup finals in Egypt this year.
