Full hour for Wanyama as Spurs edge out Watford

Kenyan International Victor Wanyama ammased an hour as Tottenham beat Watford 4-2 on post match penalties in a Carabao Cup match played on Wednesday 26th September at the Stadium Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. 

The match had ended 2-2 in regulation time; Spurs grabbing their goals through Delle Ali and Erik Lamela while Watford got scored through Nigerian Isaac Ajayi Success and Etienne Capoue. 


Spurs scored their penalties through Delle Ali, Erik Lamela, Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente while Watford's Capoue and Domingos Quina missed theirs. 

Wanyama, who started the match, was rested in the 64th minute, Mousa Dembele taking his place, but he was glad to have played a part in the victory. 


"Good to get an hour under my belt, let's keep the spirit going #Coys.." he posted a photo on instagram accompanied by the caption. 

He also took to twitter to celebrate the victory
