Palos FC chairman Patrick Imbuga has rubbished Western Stima's claims that they have completed the signing of Palos rookie keeper Gad Mathews ahead of 2017 KPL season.

Stima Chairman Laban Jobita in an interview with Futaa.com confirmed the signing of former Kisumu Day keeper from Palos FC something Imbuga says he is not aware of.

Recommended keeper

-We have signed Mathews from Palos, he is a keeper my technical bench recommended and I am happy he has joined us. He is still young and I know Stima is the right place for him to develop, Jobita told Futaa.com.

Imbuga on the other hand insists Mathews is this a Palos FC player.

Has a contract

-I am the club chairman and I can confirm no one has talked to me about Mathews. He still has a contract with us and I am the only person who can issue a player's release letter so Stima's claims that they have signed our keeper without our consent is misguided and untrue, Imbuga told Futaa.com.

Mathews completed his secondary school education at Kisumu Day Secondary School in 2016
