Were rested as Tusker eye Ulinzi downfall

Defending Tusker Premier League champions Tusker FC head Coach Robert Matano has made three changes from the team that beat City Stars 1-0 on Wednesday 1 May in the team’s starting line up ahead of their Saturday 4 May match against Ulinzi Stars at the Nyayo Stadium.

Former Mathare United forward Jesse Were, who joined the Brewers at the beginning of the current season, has been left out of the Brewers squad and replaced by Ugandan forward Andrew Ssekayombya in the starting eleven while Khalid Aucho and Joshua Oyoo continue in their starting places ahead of Mark Odhiambo and Michael Olunga who continue to sit on the bench for the second game running.

More changes 

Kennedy Opiyo, who was on the bench in the last match, has also been given the nod to start, as Luke Ochieng is also left out of the squad.


Samuel Odhiambo will continue to start between the sticks and will be shielded by Opiyo, Humphrey Okoti, David Ochieng, and Joseph Shikokoti.

Aucho, Oyoo and Collins Okoth will be manning the midfield, behind forwards Ismail Dunga and Ssekayombya.

Substitutes: Boniface Oluoch, Martin Kiiza, Andrew Tololwa, Michael Olunga, Fredrick Onyango, Kenneth Wendo, Justine Monda.

The two teams will clash as from 1700hrs at the Nyayo Stadium.
