assistant coach Mickey Weche fears that key striker Mike Baraza might get burnt out due to his continuous injury layoffs.
Baraza has been a hit at Leopards this season, scoring at will to lead the once struggling Ingwe to the upper echelons of the Kenyan Premier League table.
His goals have however come as fast as his injuries. He has been involved in a road accident, suffered head injuries in a league match with Western Stima
and the FK cup semi final with Gor Mahia
, as well as pulling his hamstring in the recent KPL clash with Mathare United
Weche is closely monitoring the striker's injuries and hoping that it improves as time goes by.
-Mike is one of our very best players, so to see him persistently injured is a cause for concern.
-The boy is unlucky in a way. He has been hit on the head twice and has also been in a bad road accident. After the injury against Mathare United
, I told myself that he needs a break.
-He has been playing very well and you want him to continue, but you also fear he can get burnt out due to the combination of playing many games and injuries, Weche told Futaa.com.
Baraza is the current KPL top scorer with 12 goals to his name.
