Kenyan Premier League side Ulinzi Stars has challenged its four players, James Saruni, Samuel Onyango, Daniel Waweru and Stephen Waruru to fight to starting spots after they were named in the Harambee Stars' provisional squad that is preparing to take on Angola in a friendly match slated for Sunday 4 June 2017 at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

The four players have been in fine form in the 2017 KPL season with Waruru scoring six goals in eight matches while Waweru has scored thrice, with Onyango finding the back of the net three times while Saruni has been fantastic in between the posts.

Strive

Speaking to the club's portal, Ulinzi Officer in Charge Captain Godwin Baraza lauded the four players but urged them to go do their best and strive to get an opportunity to play

-We are happy as a team that the performance is being noted and I congratulate them for their call ups. They should now go and do their best, represent us well and strive to get an opportunity to play, Captain Baraza said.

The team is expected to report to camp on Sunday 28 May 2017  in Machakos. The match is in preparation to the CHAN 2018  that is scheduled to kick off in January next year. Meanwhile the Soldiers will be in action on Saturday 20 May 2017 against Posta Rangers.
