FUFA competition committee has rescheduled the Uganda Cup round of 16 fixture between lower tier side Lungujja FC and KCCA FC after the duo reaching an agreement.
Officials from the club have confirmed that KCCA FC requested their opponents to bring forward the match and have settled for Wednesday 15th February with the match initially set for Sunday 5th March at the Uganda Martyrs grounds in Rubaga but will now be played on Wednesday at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
-After agreeing with our opponents (Lungujja Galaxy) we requested the FUFA competitions’ committee to have our game played before traveling to Angola and they obliged so the game will be played on Wednesday in Lugogo," KCCA FC CEO David Tamale was quoted by club media in a statement.
The league champions are expected to fly out to Luanda, Angola on Thursday morning ahead of their Caf champions league preliminary round second leg tie against CD Primeiro de Agosto.
-Much as Lungujja Galaxy host their home games at the Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga playground, the game will be played in Lugogo after agreeing with KCCA FC to have it played there, the club confirmed.
Lungujja Galaxy qualified to this round automatically after their opponents Moroto Unites failed to turn up while KCCA FC thumped Koboko Rising Stars 6-1.
