The Kenyan Premier League [KPL] is set to pick up from where
it left after being stalled by the unplayed quarter final match between Gor
Mahia and AFC Leopards.
This was after the Sports Stadia Management Board [SSMB] banned
Gor Mahia from using any facilities under their umbrella, throwing the
match into disarray.
SSMB allowing Gor Mahia back into the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani,
the match can now be played, and the
organizers KPL say they are working on getting a suitable date to have it
-We are currently working on the logistics of the match,
knowing very well that we might have to readjust some league fixtures, KPL's Logistics and Operations Manager Frank Okoth
-We are also talking with the broadcasters [Supersport] to
find out when would be most ideal and we should have a confirmation by midday
on Thursday 12 July.
Three of the tournament’s matches had been played, allowing
Ulinzi, SoNy Sugar FC and Tusker into the semi-finals.
Ulinzi will be playing SoNy, while Tusker is awaiting the
winner from the Gor versus AFC match.
