Kenya’s opponents in the Group F of the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers Namibia have named a new coach for the team, a month to the match against Malawi in Blantyre.
50 – year old Swede Roger Palmgren will be taking the post left vacant by Bernard Kaanjuka who resigned after the team was beaten at home by Malawi in a qualifier on Saturday 23 March.
Palmgren has some international experience having coached the Rwandan national team before, as well as the Sierra Leone national team at the 1996 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in South Africa. His last job was with South African top flight side Amazulu, with whom he parted company in 2012.
He takes over a team with three points from three matches and sits third in the group.
