AFC leopards held Simba SC to a barren draw in an international friendly match played at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha Tanzania on Saturday 13 August 2011.

Leopards had taken a strong squad to the tourist town for the friendly and the nature of the team played by coach Jan Koops frustrated the home side's efforts to win the match.

Simba, were using the match as part of their 50 year jubilee celebrations whilst preparing for the Tanzanian Charity shield match with Yanga next weekend.

They played a good side, resembling their CECAFA Kagame cup final team but hit a barrier in Leopards, who kept their tactical shape and discipline throughout.

The friendly encounter between the two was aired live on Pay TV station Smart TV.

Simba have Kenya international midfielder Jerry Evan Santo in their books. Santo was in the Simba squad in Arusha. He also travelled with the national team Harambee stars for the 1-0 friendly loss to Botswana three days ago.

Leopards next play Sofapaka in the Kenyan Premier League on Wednesday 17 August 2011.
