Division One side Nakuru AllStars
has handed over junior side Coach Peter Okidi the reigns of the senior team.
Okidi had in the past season been in charge of the team’s ‘B’
side, during which time he led it to the provincial league.
Receiving the baton, from Simeon Mulama, who left the team
towards the end of the past season, Okidi says he believes he is up to task and
promises to help the team achieve its objectives for the season.
-After working with the team towards
the end of last season, I came to understand this team, and the Division One
league as a whole. It is a new challenge, and I always welcome challenges,
meaning I will use this opportunity to try and see that we always achieve
reaching the goals we set. We will work as a unit, together with the other
coaches, and the players as well, Okidi told the club’s official website.
In other changes, former AllStars C
coach, Jimmy Angila has been promoted to AllStars B, replacing Okidi.
