Newly appointed Ulinzi Stars Assistant Coach Charles Oyugi believes that the team has what it takes to go past Libya's side Al Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederations Cup as well as taking the Kenyan Premier League crown away from reigning champions Tusker FC.
Oyugi comes a fortnight after goalkeeper trainer Francis Onyiso was handed the assistant's role in an acting capacity following Head Coach Benjamin Nyangweso's elevation to replace ailing Robert Matano who was with the team through the last season.
- I believe I'm qualified to be here in the technical bench. The team is currently preparing for the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup agaisnt Al Hilal. We lost in the first leg but hopefully we will win by a bigger margin in the second leg and qualify for the next round. I also believe that we will take the League this season despite us finishing at position three last season. I know i am experienced and i know all the problems a team experiences, he told Futaa.
Oyugi a former Ulinzi Stars player has a level B license and was among the instructors who were camping countrywide last year in regards to the grass root coaching.
