On Saturday 6 October, HBC Milimani had been slated to host
Nakuru’s Comply in a Division One [Western Zone] match.
The visitors made it Homa Bay for the match and even went
through the pre-match formalities. However, the home side failed to turn up for
the match, awarding Comply two points.
Speaking of the unfolding, Comply’s head Coach Stephen Maina
said that as much as they appreciated the points, it was demoralizing for them
to travel all the way for the match, only to return without playing it.
-It is unfortunate
when a home side fails to show up for a match and we hope that this doesn’t
become a trend, Maina told Futaa.com.
This is the second time the Milimani, who have picked six
points from 30 matches, have failed to avail themselves for a home match.
They did not attend their Sunday
23 match against Finlays Horticulture, again dishing out free points.
