Sitting on the Russia side of Nyayo National Stadium couldn’t help but pick interesting comments as AFC Leopards rolled over Banks from Ethiopia in a preliminary first leg clash.
But one conversation that did the rounds was AFC Leopards new kit. To many it’s unimpressive.
“Last year we bought the blue and white stripe as it was well designed and gives a good identity of the club. I’m surprised the club decided to change it to something else” said Ben Matkotsi while talking to KenyanFootie.com
“The new kit has let down the fans. Look around the stadium, fans have replicas of last year’s kit which is easy to pick out” said Richie
“This new kit is poorly designed. Look at the shirt numbers – they are too small. You can hardly read” was another fans perspective.
The kit donned in yesterday’s game is similar – or the same to the one AFC used during the Super Cup cash at the same venue against Sofapaka.
“To me the kit looks just fine. It’s a matter of getting used to it. But I agree the numbers at the back are too tiny, I suppose even the referee has trouble trying to read” said Kasule
“The club should have left the team to play with the old kit. Fans had begun purchasing it and changing to a new one means getting a new replica top. At Kshs. 1,000 it’s an expense fans re-discovering local soccer can be spared” was Peter Wafula say on the kit issue.
