National Super League
side Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), has completed the signing of Vihiga United
goalkeeper David Kutwa, Vihiga United has confirmed.
Kutwa, Edward Manoah’s
first choice keeper decamps to Leonard Saleh coached KCB where he will compete
for a starting berth in the team with the likes of Juma Mpongo and veteran
keeper Zachary Onyango in a season KCB will be seeking promotion back to the
Kenyan Premier League (KPL) after narrowly missing out in 2016.
Kutwa’s move to KCB has been confirmed by Vihiga United Public Relations Officer Peter Atsiaya who also revealed that the club is
shopping for a replacement ahead of the new season.
-I can confirm that Kutwa has left and joined KCB, he got an
offer from them and requested to leave. Once a player has decided to move
there is little you can do and as a club we wish him all the best at his new club,
we are looking around for his replacement although I must admit his departure
is a blow because he was our first choice between the posts, Atsiaya told
Vihiga has already signed four players so far among them
former Leopards captain Martin Imbalambala.
