Kalonzo launches Harambee Stars fans trip to Uganda

Harambee Stars fans ‘Road to Kampala trip‘ will be launched on Monday 26 September 2011 at Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi, by Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka.

Under the mobilization of  Kenya Football Fans Association (KEFOFA), the function will kick-off at 1000hrs local time. 

More than 3.000 fans to travel

More than 3,000 fans are expected to travel to Uganda and support Harambee Stars in it’s must-win match against arch-rivals Uganda Cranes.

The eagerly awaited Group ‘J‘ AFCON qualifiers match will be played on Saturday 8 October 2011 at Nelson Mandela, Namboole Stadiem in Kampala.

2 Million boost

The VP, donanted Ksh. 2M last week, for the KEFOFA officials to hire buses in the bid to go and cheer-up the national team.

It’s expected that the initiative will boost the moral of the Stars in Uganda bearing in mind that the team is still in contention for the AFCON 2012 finals to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The ticketing information of the eagerly awaited match is already out with VIP tickets retailed at Kshs. 2000 while terraces will be sold at Kshs. 800.

Cranes are currently on top of Group 'J' which will go down the wire with 10 points one ahead of Angola and three above Kenya.
