Kenyan midfielder John ‘Mo’ Muiruri scored his sixth goal
of the season for Moss FK this past Sunday within minutes of coming in as a substitute as Norway’s second tier the Addecoligaen entered match day 26.
After falling 2-1 to Skeid Oslo in the previous round, Moss FK unleashed a master class to whip Sarpsborg 08 FF 4-2. Moss FK had to come from behind twice before finally taking the lead from Thomas Klaussen in the 64th minute.
Three minutes later, ‘Mo’ who made his 22nd appearance this season crowned the score line when he grabbed the fourth of the game. Muiruri’s team mate Arnold Origi was not in the game due to an injury.
In another game, Kenyan central defender Wycliffe Juma’s Nybergsund IL rallied from a goal
down to salvage a 1-1 draw with visiting Sogndal IL. Juma who made his 18th appearance of the season earned a yellow card for foul play in the 86th minute.
With four games to the close of the season, Moss FK moves up to seventh with 37 points, a point and position better than Juma’s Nybergsund IL. Both teams trail leaders Honefoss BK and Kongsvinger IL who on 49 points are fighting for the two automatic promotion slots.
