McDonald Marigas Inter Milan cruised into the Coppa Italia finals after being held to 1-1 draw by a resilient AS Roma. Inter Milan managed to secure a 1-0 away win thanks to a stunning goal from Dejan Stevanovic. This ensured they sealed a 2-1 aggregate win at San Siro to reach the finals.

Lethal striker Samuel Etoo gave the defending champions the lead in the 57th minute but this was cancelled out in the 84th minute when Boriello sent a towering header past a hapless Julio Ceaser to equalize the score line.

Inter Milan will now meet Palermo who won their tie against AC Milan 4-3 on aggregate. The defending champions also celebrated Javier Zanettis 1000th appearance for the club.

Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga was in the starting line up and played full time against AS Roma at the San Siro.

Inter Milan have failed to defend the Champions League and the Serie A title this season and desperately want to defend their Coppa Italia title so they cannot end the season trophyless.

Inter Milan will face Palermo on 29th May 2011.
