Gor Mahia defender Wellington Ochieng is a player never tiring of giving back to society as he made a rare visit to Tree House Children Home a day after landing from Tanzania.
The defender who was part of the squad that played against the English Premier League side Everton on July 13 had earlier visited Urussy FC and Amani football club in Kisumu after their match against Ulinzi Stars and donated kits and balls.
-Today (July 16) was a special Sunday. I visited Tree House Children's Home at Lucky Summer Estate and spent the afternoon with the determined kids who call the establishment home. I was encouraged by their positivity and inspired by their quest to make meaning of their lives, football being one of the avenues. I look forward to visiting again with friends and bringing more than lunch, Ochieng said after the visit.
Ochieng and Gor Mahia will play Muhoroni Youth after their match was rescheduled due to their historical commitments in Tanzania.
