The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has sent URA FC Assistant Coach, Sadick Wassa to Cairo in Egypt to undergo a special training session for the acquisition of the CAF ‘C’ License.

The Federation decision followed the resignation of the club’s substantive head coach Alex Isabirye who had already trained and acquired this qualification.

CAF Champions League

-In order to avoid likely negative consequences by the continental body, FUFA acted faster to bridge the gap since it wasn’t clear how soon URA would effect their professional replacement, said a statement signed by Rogers Mulindwa, FUFA’s head of communication

The Ugandan situation applies here in Kenya where Gor Mahia’s assistant Coach Bobby Ogola and Tusker’s Robert Matano have both landed in Cairo for the same training.

Just like Tusker FC, URA FC will participate in the CAF Champions League and it’s mandatory that all participating clubs are coached by holders of a CAF ‘C’ License. Gor on the other hand will represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup.
