The Super Falcons have dropped five places from 27th to 32nd place in the latest FIFA ranking released on Friday following their dismal performance at the 2012 African Women Championship.
The Kadiri Ikhana led side finished fourth at the AWC falling behind Equatorial Guinea, South Africa and Cameroon to post their worse performance ever at the competition.
The Falcons dropped 53 points, the biggest drop on the table.
Nigeria however remains top in Africa, while Cameroon is second at 50th position. Ghana trails the Indomitable Lionesses in third position on the continent at 51st position.
Equatorial Guinea, who made the biggest move jumped eight places to end up 54th in the world and fourth in Africa. South Africa are at their highest ever position- 56th in the world and fifth in Africa.
