Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos will on Saturday and Sunday host the first regional finals of Sakata Ball 2011. The event will see eight boys teams chase the top prize of Kshs. 100,000 with the girls winners taking home Kshs. 50,000. Runners up will take home half of the stated amounts.
Team representatives of the 12 teams attended a draw held on Monday morning at hotel in Machakos.

Kenya Methodist University ladies team from Meru will jumpstart the tournament by taking on Kitui’s Mshale Heroes FC on Saturday at 8.30 am.
Ntunene Girls from Maua will take to the field for the second game of the day beginning at 10 am with a clash against Matuu Sports Club.
The winners from the two games will then meet in the finals that will begin at 2.30 pm and the first ever girl’s regional winner will be feted at 3.30 pm.
As the girls await their final game, two knock out games for the boys will be played with Kathungi from Kitui taking on Makindu Boys from Makueni in the first game at 11 am.
Tharaka/Nithi winners Chuka University drew Machakos Technical and the two teams will meet in the second boys games beginning at 12.30.
Green Santos and Kibirichia, both from Meru County, will then open day two action in what has been dubbed the ‘Meru derby’.
Embu Sportive and Taqwa FC, the only team from last year to revisit the Eastern Regional, will close the boys’ knockouts on Sunday.
The semi will then kick off at 12.30 pm with the new Eastern Region winner being declared at 4.30.
Other than winning respective prices, regional winners for both Boys and Girls will book a ticket to the National finals that will be held at the City Stadium on 6th and 7th of August.
